TEAM

Members of CITur (Cinema, Imaginary and Turism) come from diverse academic, Spanish and American scopes. They have oriented their research in areas of knowledge and specialties such as the history and modes of representation of Spanish cinema, the sociology of tourism, cultural studies, mobility and gender studies and quantitative data analysis techniques. These circumstances give the team an interdisciplinary character and favors the practice of a plural methodological perspective in the development of the research work.

Past members of CITur

Justin Crumbaugh, holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies and taught as an Associate Professor in the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies at Mount Holyoke College, Massachusetts (USA). His studies specialize in film, tourism, cultural studies and the history of Spain and Latin America. He was a research member of CITur during 2005-2008.

María Fernández de la Serna, holds a Bachelor´s Degree in Audiovisual Communication and is the director of R & D at LabHuman, belonging to the Bioengineering and Technology Research Institute of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. She is a specialist in the design of technological research projects and databases. She was a member of CITur during 2006-2009.

Konstantin Stanishevski Kushneriov, holds a Bachelor´s Degree in Audiovisual Communication and a Diploma in Tourism from the University of Valencia (Spain). He was a founding member of CITur and remained with the team from 2005-2008.

Emmanuel Vincenot holds a Doctorate Degree in Romance Studies and Maître de Conférences in the Department of Hispanic Studies of the Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, Paris (France), where he teaches Latin American history and Hispanic cinema. He is a specialist in Cuban culture and cinema. He was a research member of CITur during 2008-2015.
